California Impressionist Landscape Watercolor Painter
Generational artist. Each generation of my family has a female artist, so I’m proud to continue the creative streak with my watercolor paintings. I grew up inspired by my aunt’s art studio and fashioned my own version with the canvases and paints she’d gift me. My grandmother does glass blowing and my great-grandmother was an oil painter. Other family members such as my uncle collects art - all are my early art critics, patrons, and supporters!
Painting is how I create and connect with the world around me
I grew up in New England, inspired by the ocean in Rhode Island in Newport and Narragansett and Cape Cod. I currently live in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, where the Southern California beaches and mountains keep me continually inspired.
Impressionist Landscapes - I use an Impressionist style to create the ‘impression’ a landscape leave with me, as opposed to a realistic / photographic depiction.
